Carve your way down our Historic slopes at Hanson Hills. Established in 1929 as one of the first ski areas in Michigan, our (3) surface lifts access (6) runs, and challenging Terrain park. Fun for all ages and abilities.
Tubing at its finest is what you will find at Hanson Hills Recreation Area. Adjacent to our ski slopes, this fun filled activity is perfect for children and adults alike. Take an exhilarating ride down the slopes on a tube where you will end up at the base of the hill right next to the tow rope where you will be towed back to the top to do it again! After your one hour session, we guarantee you will be hooked!

The Hanson Hills Snow Sports School offers a variety of instructional programs that will help you learn to ski or simply make your skiing experience easier and more enjoyable. From learning the basics of turning and stopping; to taking on the challenge of the terrain park; or shaving seconds off your time in the race course, the snow pros at Hanson Hills can teach ski lessons to help you improve your skills and gain confidence on the slopes no matter what your age or skill.
Enjoy touring through 35km of pristine 100+ year old oak forest. Groomed daily for skate and classic skiing. Multiple trails give variety and challenge to all levels of skiers.
Explore the hardwoods of Hanson hills on two great trails.
Our overlook trail is 2.9 miles in length with varying terrain. Not into hills, no problem, follow our Easy Rider trail for 2.0 miles.
Limited Snowshoes available for rent $15 per set 9am-4pm. Rentals must be turned in by 4pm.
Ride through our historic hardwood forest on your fat tire bike. We offer a 2 mile and a 6 mile loop. Packed and groomed with a snowmobile.
